We also make a special mention of The Children’s Museum at Palazzo Vecchio, a must for kids in Florence! The project aims to offer an educational and cultural experience for children so that they learn about the everyday life of the family through fashion from the fifteenth to sixteenth centuries in Florence to explain that historical era. The Universe Comes Together in Silence. Alfredo Serri at Ente Cassa di Risparmio. Cultured and sensitive artist, Alfredo Serri (Florence 1897-1972) is finally properly recognized in the first exhibition dedicated to him. Last few days to visit: Fiesole and the Longobards – Civic Archeological Museum of Fiesole. This exhibition is one of the many events celebrating the centenary of the Museum of Fiesole. It is showing for the first time the recent discoveries from about 40 burials that were found in the excavations carried out in Fiesole’s Piazza Garibaldi area. On display are various objects from the unearthed Lombard grave furnishings, namely, fibule, hair pins, jewelry, and weapons. The exhibit will last until October 31, 2014. Today is Halloween!
Florence Inferno and ADAGIO con BRIO organize a special Halloween Tour. Given that Florence is one of the most alluring and impressive cities in the world at night, the itinerary includes mysterious alleys, amazing bell towers, locations once frequented by Dante, and a visit to the wonderful, impressive Palazzo Vecchio by night. The tour starts at the Badia Fiorentina and ends in Palazzo Vecchio. Afterwards, you are welcome to visit one of the restaurants and bars in the area and join a Halloween party, or simply continue your visit to Palazzo Vecchio, which is open until midnight.
