I Mai Visti at Uffizi Gallery. 70 icons from Florentine galleries: the oldest existing collection of Russian icons from the Orthodox world. Icons of different sizes made in workshops in Moscow and in other cities in Russia dating back from the end of the sixteenth century to the early decades of the eighteenth century, from the collections of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. [Outside Florence] Carnival parade in Viareggio. With its parties, fireworks, dancing, theatrical shows, and other events, the City of Viareggio is ready to be transformed into a fun factory through giant papier mache parades. The Carnival in Viareggio originates from the end of the 19th century. The parades draw thousands of visitors of all ages, who come to see the spectacular floats and parade as well as participate in the festive air that can be breathed all over the town on the days of the masquerade processions.

Fiesole and the Longobards – Civic Archeological Museum of Fiesole. This exhibition is one of the many events celebrating the 100 years of the Museum of Fiesole. It is showing, for the first time, the recent discoveries from about 40 burials that were found in the excavations carried out in Fiesole’s Piazza Garibaldi area. On display are various objects from the unearthed Lombard grave furnishings, namely, fibule, hair pins, jewelry, and weapons. Until April 30, 2015.
