This week you won’t want to miss Pitti Immagine Uomo – Contemporary Global Lifestyle. The world’s most important platform for men’s clothing and accessory collections and for launching new projects in men’s fashion.This year the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a great program of events. Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Emilio Pucci, Ermanno Scervino – the protagonists of the international fashion – are invited to make a tribute to the city with specific events in symbolic places. We also make a special mention of Calcio Storico. A.K.A. Calcio in Costume and Calcio Fiorentino, an historical sport that runs deep in the Florentine blood line. It’s played annually in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence. Today, three matches are played each year. A team from each quartiere of the city is represented: Santa Croce are the Azzurri, blues; Santa Maria Novella are the Rossi, reds; Santo Spirito are the Bianchi, whites; San Giovanni are the Verdi, greens. The winning team receives a Chianina Cow. On Saturday, June 14; Sunday, June 15 and final mach on Tuesday, June 24.

The first edition of Brain Waves, the International Festival of Young Artists organized by Officine Creative Florentia Consort and under the artistic direction of Antonio Artese. [Outside Florence] Fabbrica Europa Festival – Era delle cadute at Teatro Era, Pontedera. The special project Montare a cavallo, created and supported by the Fondazione Pontedera Teatro, opens to the public with the show Era delle cadute, a collective production of Fondazione Pontedera Teatro and nine theatrical groups. The show will be presented as a single collective work around a chosen theme, the fall. Showtime at 9 p.m. Ticket price: € 10.

Pitti Immagine Uomo – The Italian car design of the 50s and 60s at Forte Belvedere. Sixteen vintage cars from the collection of Lopresto, dedicated to the Italian limited edition cars. Authentic masterpieces of design of the 50s and 60s, the golden age of Italy’s automobile production when cars are still built in a traditional way and based on the expressed desires of the customers.
